About

Mid-market rent is aimed at providing affordable housing within the private rented sector and is an alternative to the wider private rented sector. This community of practice comes together to enable local authorities and RSLs who manage homes in the MMR sector to share their experiences and challenges.

This community of practice explores the tools, skills and processes you need to manage MMR homes.

This community of practice is for RSL and LA members and will meet two times per year.

Member Query – Upper Income Levels in MMR

Income levels are largely used during the application and assessment processes when letting an MMR property. These form part of the eligibility criteria and allow precedence to be given to applicants on low to moderate inocmes. The network received a query regarding the upper income levels for MMR housing application forms. Seven responses were received allowing colleagues to copare and contrast the different upper income levels that MMR housing providers are curently implementing across Scotland.
