Planning Applications Statistics 2023/2024: Annual and Quarterly (October 23 to March 24)

This official statistics publication provides data on the number, type and decision times of planning applications made to Scottish Planning Authorities during 2023/24. The number of local development applications in 2023/24 (22,565) was the lowest for five years and major planning applications have fallen by 26% over the same period. Processing times are improving but are still below pre-pandemic rates.
